ABOUT THE ARTIST

Patrick Renner received his BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute (2004) and his MFA from the New York State College of Art at Alfred University (2006). Renner has shown at venues throughout the US and has been a collaborator in various capacities, helping establish the alternative art space El Rincón Social on Houston’s east side, and as a founding member of {exurb}, a multidisciplinary art group (2011-16). Renner co-founded the public sculpture production company Flying Carpet Creative (2015-21), which produced large sculptural public projects throughout Texas cities and in Memphis, TN. Patrick has recently re-focused on personal production, while also beginning to work with a newly formed collaborative group, Cab Stand Collective.
